Owner of SFIA

Science and Futurism with Isaac Arthur (SFIA) is a science education YouTube channel focused on all aspects of futurism and space.

Since its first episode in 2014, SFIA has considered topics ranging from the seemingly mundane to the extremely exotic, featuring episodes on megastructure engineering, interstellar travel, the Fermi paradox, and many other topics. But regardless of how strange a subject may seem today, we always try to ensure that the discussion is grounded in what we know of science today, limiting our speculation to what we believe to be in the realm of realistic possibility.

We’re also part of a broader community of science educators, teaming up with Fraser Cain, John Michael Godier, and others to talk about the possibilities our universe might hold.

And within SFIA itself, there are many moving parts: the channel is made up of and supported by over 100 members from around the globe, including writers and editors, graphic and audio artists, and a team of community moderators.

SFIA seeks to engage others in learning and discussion about science and technology, encouraging viewers to join the conversation on Reddit, Facebook, Discord, and any of the links below.
