If I am to take several ideas as axioms to combine into a thought
1) computing will become more profitable as the universe cools
2) the Great filters are unknown and have to be treated as an Outside-Context Problem
3) traveling at 99.9999% of the speed of light will allow one to live 1.5 years for every 1000 that passes
4) intercepting a relativistic speed ship would be a dicey proposition
5) the galactic clusters are moving away from each other limiting future travel plans
then I am safe to conclude that once a species that wants to
a) compute cheaply
b) not be wiped out by an unknown enemy & propagate as wide as possible
c) has ability to mass produce relativistic speed ships
would want to build as many methuselah generation ships as possible and head at breakneck pace out into the all directions of the observable universe as soon as they can build these
